DMTF Appoints New Board Vice-Chair
The DMTF Board of Directors has appointed John Leung to serve as its Vice-Chair, a position that ensures the continuity of the organization should there be a temporary absence or disability of the Chair. Leung will assume the Vice-Chair role while also continuing to serve the organization as Vice President of Alliances.
CNSM Preliminary Call for Papers
Taking place November 26-30, 2017 in Tokyo, Japan, the 13th International Conference on Network and Service Management (CNSM) is a selective single-track conference covering all aspects of the management of networks and services, pervasive systems, enterprises and cloud computing environments. The core track is accompanied by a series of workshops and poster sessions. CNSM welcomes authors to submit original contributions in the network and service management research area.
Winston Bumpus Named DMTF Fellow
The DMTF Board of Directors has named Winston Bumpus a DMTF Fellow, the organization’s highest honor. Bumpus retired from VMware Inc. last month after a distinguished 47-year career in the technology industry, including two decades of service to the DMTF in a variety of leadership roles, including president and chair of the Board.

Continuing its dedication to management interoperability, DMTF has just released version 2.0 of the Conformance Test Suite (CTS) for its Desktop and mobile Architecture for System Hardware (DASH) standard.
DMTF Releases Redfish Host Interface Specification
DMTF’s innovative Redfish standard continues its fast progression, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the Scalable Platforms Management Forum (SPMF). To date, Redfish has focused on defining a TCP/IP-based out-of-band interface between a client and a management controller.

2017 Membership Renewal Reminder
The work of the DMTF is funded through membership dues that are among the most cost effective in the industry, and current member companies will receive renewal invoices in late February for the upcoming membership year (which runs April 1, 2017 to March 31, 2018).
